I am EB2-I with PD of Aug 02, still waiting for approval of 485. July07 concurrent filer. 140 was approved in Sept08.
And this is the interesting part. The online status still shows 140 as pending. No email either, just a soft LUD on the online status. USCIS is being truly erratic. A maverick?
You should fill out a form with the Ombudsman. Just google for it. They should help you with your case.
Is your NC cleared? Have you taken an infopass to confirm your biometrics and NC is all clear? There have been cases where fingerprinting was done but it wasn't reflected in the case status.

Hello All
I just sent the letter to Senator Benjamin L. Cardin for the state of MD. I called spoke to the receptionist in his office and she guided me on how to submit this letter. Now I am working on another submission. Guys please work with us and contact as many as you can, it will eventually help us.

I guess our members need some education about different things like how the senate functions, voting system, & etc. Read more guys before commenting and bashing the politicians.

If my guess is right, currently IV core is busy working on something bigger than this that they cannot disclose at this point.
So, to support the core, contribute as much as you can now, and in future. Once you get the EAD, after receiving the GC also.

ya that explains.... so u'r some 20 yr old who need to grow up..... have to learn that sometimes there is a lot more to what just what you know......
and why would you prefer maths.... dummy, didn't you know, we have calculators & computers to do simple and complex calculations.....
btw, for starters, what've you achieved? if the answer is nothing.... then learn to appreciate others.... maybe that might help to be humbled at the effort and genius of 10 yr old.....
going for a competition with international participants, then being in finals of a competition & then winning the a competition at this level .... wow.... and you are not impressed..... and not that u'r not impressed, you have nothing better to do on a friday... other that demeaning the effort of some kids, who for sure are a lot more dedicated than what you be in u'r entire life..... what a low life r u....
how @ u share the last time you were went to compete with other competitors at international level at any age group.... even if it were competition to down play what other's have achieved...... i don't think you can point to a national press covering you for even participating, if not winning, any competition.....

Good luck finding one that covers you till the end AND is low on premium! The cheapest premiums are that of term insurance, and it is intended for such situations where you have taken measures to invest in other places such as real estate, equities, bonds, cash etc, AND you are not counting on earning any return on the premiums you have paid.
This insurance is plain and simple. You pay low for covering you for a certain period of time - 10, 20, 30 years.
Btw, if one is 35 years old and buys a 30 year term insurance, you are covered until the age of 65. What is your point?

Gave in and sent PP by Fedex yesterday for Schedule A, grp 2 case.My attorney did not advise me to PP nor did a legally brain I turn to for advice. He said its likely that I would get approved even during retrogression.
But I decided its better to know sooner than later, preferably before spouse started using EAD, and if a miracle happens (who can prevent miracles?) the 485 could also get approved concurrently with the 140.... And because I have 13 days more before retrogression hits. And because I saw people reportiing really qiuck turn around after PP. My employer was willing to pay half as well...
Well plus I did not want to be stuck in the general EB2 pool (India) which looks like its a black hole. I have an approved labor from 2004 there.(yet to file 140 for that one)..so didn't see a reason to be stuck there with a 2006 PD.
I still wonder if my reasons were sane and if my hasty action mght prevent my spouse from working -- if the 140 gets denied...Well, we'll take it as it comes..it may mean goodbye to the US or something..
BTW as far as I know, retrogression doesn't start till November 1st.

There is another part in the I-131 rules document that you havent read,
"If you are in the United States and seek advance parole:
A. You may apply if you have an adjustment- of- status application pending and you seek to travel abroad for emergent personal or bona fide business reasons; "
which sorta makes any personal visit an eligible for AP visit.
Here is the relevant info from USCIS site (I-131 instructions)

I think you can put a date atleast starting from when you are expected to receive the receipt notice. Once you have the notice, you could go to local USCIS office, show the receite and prove your emergent situation and request for immediate AP.

As of now you and us don't have better things to do other than hanging out on IV?? What is a better thing differs from person to person. This forum intended for people who want to immigrate to the US. Not for people who intend to go back to India/native countries as they do not have an intent to immigrate. Its no brainer that people in India/Romania/Bhutan do not snoop on IV. Immigration is different from investment. Period.

You all are right that we should not divide ourselves on EB2 and EB3 basis. But it is true that there is no hope for EB3 unless the point is raised for it in IV drive. EB3 is a hopeless case. People are so frustated since they are unable to decide about their future. Let's do something for it too.

Btw, if the visa bulletin is not out yet, its a good omen. Over the years it has been observed that whenever visa bulletin comes out a bit late, like between 13-15 of a month, it moves the dates quite a bit forward. The bulletins that come out early in the month, like before 10th day of the month, truly sucks.
