I have sent letters and contacted my congressman so many times that i am beinging to doubt that they even care. The staff understands the issue, provide sympathetic answers, but overall there is little progress. Everyone agrees that this bill is good and non controvertial.

I would love to get involved with bunch of like minded people.....I have all the experience needed for starting and running a company. I have successully done thrice.....We have so many experienced folks who would love to start and run a company but lack the experience/knowledge of running one. it would be a good start to bring all such people to get together and pool our knowledge, skills, money and succeed.

Emailed the letter to GA Senator Johhny Isakson (R-Ga).
I had got a reply back from Another senatoer Saxby CHambliss (R-Ga) for the same letter when i had sent it last month during the initial campaign. He misunderstood the letter and replied back in regards to increase in H1B Quota. So i replied back to his email and clarified on that and pasted the content of the letter again.
Waiting to hear from him.

Also, I just got off the phone with my lawyer and she confirmed that
"Though it is advisable to apply for EAD after I-140 is approved, it is not neccesary".
In my particular case, since my H1 is valid till July'08, she mentioned it shouldn't be a problem. But she mentioned that they intend to convert the I-140 application to Premium, the moment USCIS reinstates it to be on the safer side.

It DOES matter what your PD is. USCIS apparently does process FIFO according to your Receipt date - BUT ONLY IF YOUR PRIORITY DATE IS CURRENT will you get a visa number assigned (i.e. approval of said greencard).

For eg, if they move the dates forward by a year, and Jan 04 and Jan 05 are both now current, a person with PD of Jan 05 but an earlier RD would still get processed prior to an application with PD Jan 04 and a later RD (according to the FIFO principle)...

Simple math can easily prove most EB3s will NOT get the GCs even in 20 years......

Lets not hope for results just act. If Gandhi could drive Britishers out of India using this approach, USCIS is also made of human people and sure they will do something to lessen our pains.
The British were a bit smarter;). Here we have problems explaining to the average American (which include the officials of our Senators and Congressmen), the difference between h1B and Green card. Everytime I send a fax to the Senator regarding the Green Card, i get a reply about how they do or do not support H1Bs.
In this whole flower sending campaign, we want the message to be LOUD AND CLEAR. Gandhigiri alone did not drive the British out of India and even if it did, let us not forget in that case the British were on Indian soil, here we are doing Gandhigiri in another country ON THEIR SOIL!!
The British were a bit smarter;). Here we have problems explaining to the average American (which include the officials of our Senators and Congressmen), the difference between h1B and Green card. Everytime I send a fax to the Senator regarding the Green Card, i get a reply about how they do or do not support H1Bs.

They hushed up and approved my EAD in 20 days. Why ???? 'cos So they don't hit Jun'30 and give 2 years. They wanted to milk another 680 from me so they hushed up and sent me the 1 year EAD in 20 days.
I guess we all have problems with USCIS, either with their inefficiency (eg. receipt delays during July Fiasco), or sometime with their super efficiency (EAD's getting approved too fast):D
